Mini Face Lift
A mini facelift also known as a “S Lift” is a cosmetic procedure that primarily focuses on tightening the lower-middle portion of the face, including the jowls and jawline. An S-lift is a type of facelift procedure that gets its name from the type of incision that is done during the process. However, it usually does not address sagging areas in the neck or nearby regions. Compared to a full facelift, this procedure results in a more subtle and natural appearance.
Many people choose to undergo a mini facelift to restore the tightness and youthfulness of their skin. Past lifestyle choices, such as sun exposure without proper protection, may have caused premature aging, leading to visible fine lines and wrinkles. While these lines are earned, many individuals may wish to minimize their appearance and regain a more youthful look.
Understanding the difference between a mini facelift and a full facelift is important when considering your options for facial rejuvenation. The key distinction between the two procedures is the extent to which the skin is tightened on the face. A full facelift often involves treatment to multiple areas, including the forehead, midface, cheek lift, lower face, and neck. On the other hand, a mini facelift focuses on tightening the lower-middle part of the face, such as the jowls and jawline area, and usually results in a more natural appearance
The mini facelift procedure is considered a less complex surgery compared to a full facelift or facial reconstruction. The procedure typically involves local anesthesia and topical numbing before small incisions are made around the hairline and ears. The surgeon manipulates the underlying skin tissues by lifting them up and removing any excess tissue that is no longer needed. The incisions are then closed with sutures. It's crucial to choose a qualified cosmetic surgeon to ensure a safe and effective outcome. Some patients may also opt to receive injectables and dermal fillers along with the mini facelift for complete facial rejuvenation.
